Night at the Mardi Gras

On Saturday, February 21, 2009, the Anthony Theatre presented "Night at the Mardi Gras" in Anthony's own Municipal Hall. Delicious Cajun food was served by C's Catering, and wonderful music provided by The Down Home Dixie Land Band. From ticket sales and wonderful donations for a silent auction, approximately $1500 was raised to help benefit the Anthony Theatre. If you missed out on this year's Mardi Gras, we hope to see you next year! Here are some pictures- looks like everyone had a blast!

Thank you Anthony and Harper County for a fun and successful Mardi Gras Theatre fundraiser.  Appreciation is being expressed for all the efforts put forth to make the first Mardi Gras celebration a memorable evening.  To all of you who purchased tickets, donated to silent auction, donated photography, then stayed to assist with the tearing down process.  A big thank you to C's Catering for the well presented and delicious Cajun meal and to the attentive table assistants.  To the Down Home Dixie Land Band, it would not have been a successful Mardi Gras without their Cajun style music creating the perfect atmosphere.  Also a big thank you to Brad Carmichael for being so helpful during the entire event.  Thank you to our community that is all working toward one goal, to once again have the Anthony Theatre open for entertainment.  See you next year at the Mardi Gras! ~BarBara Wright
